Every deal moves people, and their records have to move with them

Acquisitions land on HR and payroll with little warning, and divestitures come with a deadline. Fuse Analytics archives the moving population's employment, pay and benefits history once, gives both sides the access they are obliged to keep, and lets the surplus systems be switched off on the integration timeline.

Acquiring

The acquired company arrives with its own HCM, payroll and time systems, and often with contracts that end soon after close. Its history has to be kept: pay records for the people you now employ, files for those who left during the retention period, and everything an auditor or a court might later ask for. Fuse archives the acquired systems in full, so the population can be loaded into your HCM with a clean cutover and the inherited systems retired instead of renewed. The HR and payroll merger checklist covers the sequence.

Divesting

In a carve-out the seller keeps the obligations for the years the people were its employees, while the buyer needs enough history to run payroll and answer questions from day one. A transition services agreement buys time, but the clock runs. Fuse gives each side an archive of what it is entitled to, cut by population and date, so the agreement can end on schedule. The acquisition and divestiture integration roadmap lays out the workstreams.

Serial acquirers

Companies that buy regularly end up with a system for every deal. Because Fuse loads from any source into one data model, the second and third acquisitions follow the same method as the first, and consolidating those systems becomes routine rather than a project each time.
